SKA Philosophy
"Contributing to world peace through music"
1. Formation of human beings with rich humanity and individuality 1. Understanding and research on global problems
1. Creation of music that resonates with peace
This SKA philosophy was created based on the spirit of Soka University's founding in the early days.
Based on this philosophy, we carry out both music activities and peace research activities every day.
<History>
― Soka Kinetic-music Association, commonly known as SKA ,
It is one of the light music groups belonging to the Soka University Literary Bureau.
Established as a circle on March 28, 2008
Club in 2010 and officially promoted to club in 2011
Based on the idea of "contributing to world peace through music"
We are doing light music activities as a peace music group-
<Part organization>
―Speaking of SKA, the organization is characteristic ★
SKA's band includes not only the instruments that make up a normal band such as guitar, bass, keyboard, and drums, but also trumpet and trombone.
Brass band instruments such as saxophone are also participating
At first glance, it is organized like a jazz band, but the contents are completely different.
Also, at SKA, you can play a wide range of musical instruments regardless of genre, such as electric violin, percussion, and Shinobue! !! ―
<Characteristic rhythm>
-SKA also plays a music genre called "Ska" as its name suggests.
The rhythm is basically a "back beat".
This genre of "ska" is music created by the Jamaican people in the colonial era in search of freedom.
The slower tempo of ska is so-called reggae.
-When you notice, your body is dancing before you know it-
SKA is pursuing such music-
<Live style>
The overwhelming majority are "explosive," "noisy," and "dancing crazy" live concerts. It is said that once you come to a live concert, many people become energetic and repeaters.
There are various bands such as a male band, a girl band of Kyapikyapi, and a cool and sexy band, but all of them are as stated in "Creation of music that resonates with peace" in the SKA philosophy.
I play music to "share the happiest time with the customer in front of me"-
A club that pursues the possibilities of music that leads to peace.
That is "SKA"
